We were too excited to bid but then it got canceled?
Australian beach volleybelle Claire Kelly thought of selling a tattoo space on her body to help her achieve her Olympic dream.
We are not kidding!
The auction prices included an 0.8 x 0.8 inch part of her left limb for US$10,500, a 1.9 x 1.9 inch section on her right arm or shoulder for US$52,490. Dang! Girlfriend charged a lot!
Sadly, girlfriend changed her mind and axed her plan because she was informed by a “governing body” that she should take another route to raise funds. “The main concern was that I’d change up or I’d associate with the Olympics and obviously they have trademarked their logo and their branding. So even though I created a new document, technically it was a breach of their copyright.” said Kelly.
Gotcha.
So now, Kelly is doing a donation-based campaign where tattoo artists from around the world submit their original designs and donors can vote on the image they want to see on her body.
Anyways, we wish Kelly the best and hope she can raise enough $$$ for her Olympic dream.
Don’t stop believing girlfriend!
