Kerri Walsh & Nicole Branagh have made a pact to play together next year and also qualify as a team for London 2012. Great plan ladies! We really wish you well! We’re so happy you 2 won the Phuket Open just a few weeks ago. You 2 have what it takes to win in the next 2 years or more.
“I think we definitely complement each other with our skill sets,” Walsh says about Branagh. “I do feel like we’re both pretty good all-around players… she plays the right, I play the left, that puzzle piece fits. And then as far as the rest, chemistry and work ethic and all that, I feel like we’re the same. We’re both very hungry, we both want to prove ourselves to ourselves that we can be as good as we think we can be.”
As long as Kerri doesn’t plan on having Baby #3…just saying.
On the other hand, Kerri and Nicole’s EX-partner, Misty May, has stated that volleyball won’t be her priority and the Olympics is not on her radar. “Do I plan on playing next year? No. Just because I hope to be starting a family.” Misty says.
Family over Volleyball is such a priceless and amazing decision. Kerri took the same route after Beijing in 2008 and now she has 2 lovely boys, Joey & Sundance, with husband Casey Jennings. We wish Misty the best! Family comes first!
