Dutch Duo Enjoys First Win!

With $30,000 equally divided in their pockets, we bet they had a huge party as soon as they got home!

Sanne Keizer and Marleen van Iersel from The Netherlands won their first ever FIVB World Tour in Shanghai this past weekend against #6 seeded Jen Kessy and April Ross from the USA (15-21/ 26-24/ 15-13).

The bronze medal went to Austrian sisters Doris and Stefanie Schwaiger who defeated Fendrick and Hanson (USA).

On the men’s side, Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser aka PHOD won their 2nd gold medal in a row after defeating #11 Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal from the USA (21-14/ 24-22).

Wow! USA vs Brazil USA in the Finals!

Brink-Reckermann from Germany defeated the Spanish team of Herrera-Gavira for the bronze.

FYI: For the first first time ever a Brazilian men’s team didn’t finish better than 9th. It wasn’t just their weekend in both divisions! We have a feeling the Brazilian teams will come back better and stronger.

Side Dish: To have a very convenient location to practice, we just found out that Todd Rogers built a beach volleyball court in his backyard! Dang ToRo!
