This is so MESSED UP IRAN! It was announced a few months ago that Iran would be singing a different tune and would start allowing women to enter the stadium and watch sports, ie volleyball.

We’d like to congratulate Iran on their 2 victories against defending Olympic & European Champions, Russia. As far as we know, this is the first time that the Volleyball Kings Of Asia defeated the European Giants since their rise in men’s volleyball.

Slovenia’s volleyball program makes history with their women’s team qualifying for the 2015 European Championship. To make it even sweeter, their men’s team has qualified as well!

THE GREAT NEWS is that Canada has finally won against USA in a long time. THE GOOD NEWS is that both teams have qualified for the 2015 FIVB World Cup in Japan with the top 2 teams winning a spot in the 2016 Olympics.

Stefanou is one of the most experienced members of the team and the sole ‘survivor’ of the generation which played the last World League matches for Greece back in 2005 in Belgrade.
