Maiyo Represents Kenya in Bulgaria!
The Opposite Hitter was voted as the BEST PLAYER of Round 19 in Bulgarian League. He won the poll with 18 votes and triumphed against Teodor Todorov & Blagovest Katrandzhiev who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Votes came from team coaches and journalists.
With this great honor, Maiyo has released this statement: “I am very pleased to win this award. I feel very good in CSKA SOFIA and that is why I could top the standings of this poll.”
CSKA Sofia played in the prestigious Champions League but failed to book a spot for the next round. One of their greatest achievement during pool play was defeating Reid Priddy and Team Zenit Kazan in 5 sets. In case you didn’t know, Kazan is in the Final Four.
This is the first time a Kenyan player gained such recognition and we’re really happy and proud of him.
