What they’ve lost last year is finally back in their hands!
After losing a heartbreaking final last year (18-20) in the 5th set, Nikola Rosic, Matthew Denmark & Team VfB Friedrichshafen defeated Generali Haching in straight sets (25:23, 25:20, 25:20) to win the 2011/2012 German Cup.
It’s been a successful season for VfB Friedrichshafen so far. At the recently concluded Champions League, the team managed to be the only team who defeated eventual winners, Zenit Kazan, during pool play and for the first time in club history finished 5th in the Final Rankings.
What’s next for the team? The German League Title!
