The worst could have happened!
Greece has some of the world’s crazy volleyball fans indeed.
Their actions are just STUPID.
This is what happened…
During a league match over the weekend, Olympiacos O.S. Piraeus hosted 2nd ranked P.A.O.K. Thessaloniki. The host lost the first 2 sets but managed to win the next 2 sets and took it to an epic 5th set match. The final result disappointed some of the fans in the stadium and started to attack players from P.A.O.K.
Final Score: Olympiacos 2-3 P.A.O.K. (22-25, 24-26, 26-24, 25-20, 25-27)
Right after the visiting team scored the final point, they were forced to stop their celebration because fans started throwing bottles, coins and even a TRASH CAN which almost hit the referee.

The player who slipped and who looked unconscious on the floor is Venezuelan hitter Ernardo Gomez who blocked the winning point.
Luckily, his teammates were there to help him.
As of press time, no arrests have been made.
