Ciarelli & Team Part Ways
We don’t exactly know what happened but Tony Ciarelli and his Italian club team have mutually parted ways just before the Italian League officially kicks off.
Ciarelli, who was a star in college when he played for USC & the 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association Men’s Division I-II National Player of the Year, has reportedly returned to the US while Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia seeks for a replacement.
It would’ve been Tony’s professional debut.
Bummer!
Sean Rooney Is Injured
So he pretty much packed his stuff, flew to Italy, stayed there for a few days and received the BAD NEWS from his Italian club team CMC Ravenna.
2 time Olympian and 2008 Olympic gold medalist, Sean Rooney, is now back in the US of A to undergo surgery on his right shoulder.
The outside hitter needs 3 months to recover.
We wish Sean and Tony the best!
We hope to see them back in action soon.
