Italian fans will LOVE him!
One of the world’s best setters and 2015 FIVB World Cup Champion Micah Christenson was officially presented by his club team Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova to the media yesterday.
The American setter makes his professional debut in the Italian League aka one of the world’s best and most competitive volleyball leagues. Micah will be on the same team as some of the world’s best players like Osmany Juantorena, Jenia Grebennikov, Simone Parodi, Marko Podrascanin and Italian legend Alessando Fei.
Micah’s Words:
“I am really eager to start with this adventure.
I have already seen that Civitanova is a beautiful city to live and so far people from club have made me feel like at home.
I am very motivated to give my best in my first season overseas.
I watched a few Serie A games on the TV and I am aware how difficult the championship is, as well as the Champions League, another major competition that we are about to participate. Playing in this jersey, which have been worn by numerous volleyball stars, is a great honor for me.
I have no personal goals, I am here to help the team score many wins.”
He will wear #11. The same number he wears when he plays for Team USA.
