She will forever remain as one of the best NCAA volleyball players Wisconsin ever had!

In case you didn’t know, #3 ranked University Of Wisconsin lost their quarterfinal match against #6 Stanford and failed to advance to the Final 4 of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship.

One of the graduating players, Lauren Carlini, then shared an emotional post on Instagram:

I put on the Wisconsin Jersey for the final time last night and I don't know when it will sink in. I am forever grateful for this University, the Wisconsin Volleyball Program, the fans, and most of all my team. I can't wait to see what this program does in the future and I know we will get ours, in due time. This is the end of one journey, but another one is beginning. I'm so excited to see where my future takes me in this amazing sport and I am so proud to have been a Badger. Forever and Always #OnWisconsin

She was also emotional at the post match press conference.

“Lauren’s the best. She’s the best Badger we’ve ever had. I hope I’m not offending anybody by that. People see the intensity. What they don’t know is that she’s 10 times the better person than she is a volleyball player.” -Wisconsin’s Head Coach Sheffield

When the graduating seniors waved goodbye to their fans, we got emotional too.

Carlini has a bright future ahead of her. A lot of NCAA fans see the potential in her to lead Team USA to win Olympic Gold in Tokyo. Will she make it? Let’s wait and see.
