The night would be completely overshadowed in Seattle, as two highly respected coaches had some serious words for one another. As the words flowed hastily, the pushing and shoving began! Yes, you heard me correctly – Jim McLaughlin and John Cook went to blows after Jim’s unseeded Huskies dispatched John’s #2 seeded Cornhuskers. Such an awful classless display, yet sort of funny. Surely Cook already had a chip on his shoulder, because his highly touted program finally had to leave home. Their red sea crowd couldn’t push them to victory from afar this time around.
Of course, I am not completely sure what was said, but good for both of them. Sometimes after a match, you need to just let ’em have it. Ok fine just kidding. As grown ass men who are helping shape the lives of impressionable young women they need to be ashamed of themselves behaving in such a manner. So what do you think the NCAA will do to either of them? Will this be like others sports – someone gets fined, someone gets suspended? It will certainly be something to keep an eye on during the rest of the tournament.
