After a disappointing season, it’s expected for Resovia to downsize next season. It doesn’t make sense to keep some of their highest paid athletes knowing that they will NOT play in the prestigious 2017-2018 CEV Champions League after finishing 4th in the Polish League this season.

Piotr Nowakowski, Damian Wojtaszek, Gavin Schmitt, Frederic Winters, Thomas Jaeschke and Resovia have mutually parted ways.

Seasons over, last time in the jersey. Goodbyes are never easy and never get easier. I have nothing but good things to say about this club, it's fans and the players and family I fought with this year. Although an unexpected shoulder injury took my off the court for the last of the season it was always a privilege and honour to wear this jersey and be part of this team. Thanks to the club, team and fans for making it a great year. Thanks to all my teammates for an amazing year, I will forget none of you and the good times together. On to a new chapter and some time off!

Chciałbym serdecznie podziękować całemu klubowi @assecoresovia za te wspólnie spędzone 6 lat. Dziękuję zarządowi i trenerom za zaufanie, kibicom za wsparcie i doping oraz kolegom z boiska za serce i walkę do samego końca. Dziękuję za wszystkie dobre słowa po meczach przegranych i radość po wygranych. Przyjemnością była gra w tak dobrze zorganizowanym i wspierającym w trudniejszych momentach gracza klubie.
