The highest paid Canadian professional volleyball athlete shares some wise words about his team’s current status in the 2012/2012 Russian Super League. Gav and his team Iskra Odintsovo are struggling as of late winning big matches and currently ranked 5th out of 8 teams.
Gav says:
“In sports, if you never have to overcome difficulty you can never grow. I have done so in the past & now it’s very difficult but I try. My team tries. The biggest thing is knowing these difficulties make you better in the long run and it’s the most important thing.
The man who has an easy life is never as accomplished as the man who had to overcome everything to get to where he is.”
