Two of the world’s best players are teaming up together next season with a mission to WIN the Turkish League and The CEV Champions League.
Volleywood superstars Kim Yeon Koung has signed on to play for Eczacıbaşı Vitra Volleyball who already has renewed the contract of 2016 Olympic silver medalist Tijana Boskovic. Joinig the team are American players Jordan Larson and Lauren Gibbemeyer.
This is not the first time Kim will play in the Turkish League. She spent 6 successful seasons as a Yellow Angel with Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce reportedly wanted to rehire Kim but the negotiations did not pull through due to some personal reasons.
“Kim wanted a new environment and Eczacıbaşı VitrA Voleybol was able to convince her to play for them. She also could not refuse the chance to play with Larson and Boskovic. The bottom line is that Eczacıbaşı VitrA Voleybol wants to form a super team next season to beat their rivals Vakifbank who has Zhu Ting.” says the source.
Our source also adds that Thaisa will NOT return to Turkey next season despite being loaned to Barueri last season in the Brazilian Superliga.
