The 2 time Olympic Champion is loving TURKEY!
Sheilla has officially announced that her contract with Turkish club team, Vakifbank, is good for another year. Due to how she is treated by the club, there’s no reason at all to leave.
She tells Brazilian media globoesporte:
“I have another year and I will definitely stay here.”
The 31 year old also confirmed the news that Brazil will NOT play at the 2015 World Cup since the team has already qualified as the host of the 2016 Olympics. Instead, Brazilian team will be divided into 2 teams. One team for the Pan American Games in Canada and another team for the Grand Prix.
She also added that Coach ZRG has decided to give her and Fabiana a much needed break from the National Team. We won”t see them in the Pan Am nor in the Grand Prix. They will only train with the squad and will not participate in any tournaments.
We like the idea.
In case you didn’t know, Sheilla and Vakifbank have qualified for the Final 4 of the Champions League aka the world’s most prestigious club tournament.
Before we forget, her husband now lives with her in Istanbul.
