The world’s best player has admitted to Globo Esporte that he’s not 100% ready to play but he’s trying his best to bring back his AAA game.
In case you didn’t know, Murilo and his wife, Jaqueline, lost their first baby due to miscarriage a couple of weeks ago. He received Coach Rezende’s permission to skip the first round of the World League to be with his wife.
He rejoined the squad last Wednesday in Rio De Janeiro.
Being the best player in the world puts a lot of pressure on Murilo but he tries not to think about it. He feels that people watching expect him to always have a good game. Murilo is expected to play against Poland this weekend even if he’s not 100% okay – physically and technically.
No doubt you can handle the pressure BB.
Side Dish: Murilo also shared that when his wife lost their baby, the first few days were very difficult. They just stayed home. After several days, he returned to training while his wife went to Recife. They want to try having another baby this year.
