Lefties Rock! Lefties Rule!
UC Irvine’s one and only coz there’s no one else CARSON CLARK has been named as the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II National Player of the Week as well as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week.
We hope he has enough room in his dorm for these 2 prestigious NCAA Awards.
According to THIS ARTICLE:
Clark led the Anteaters to a pair of four-set wins over two nationally ranked AVCA Top-15 teams. The first victory of the week came against then-No.5 UCLA where the junior put away a match-high 22 kills to clinch an MPSF playoff berth for the Anteaters. He hit .647 (11-0-17) in the final two sets and had consecutive aces in the fourth game to open up a late 15-8 lead.
UC Irvine then hit the road to then-No.8 UC Santa Barbara where the Santa Barbara native had 19 kills and three aces while tacking on six digs in the victory. After UCI lost the first set, Clark stepped up his game to hit .565 (14-1-23) over the next three sets to help the Anteaters capture the win.
Dang! What an amazing athlete he is. No wonder he was invited to play for the USA National Team at the 2010 World Championship wherein Team USA finished 6th. The lefty opposite hitter has a bright future ahead of him. No doubt.
