A couple of weeks ago, we reported about this volleyball player from India who lost her leg after claiming that she was robbed and pushed off a moving train.
Luckily, she survived and had her leg amputated. The news made headlines and girlfriend gained sympathy from some parts of the world.
Fast forward today…
A. K. Jain, Director General of the Railway Police, has stated that Arunima Sinha might be lying about the incident. He said that Sinha might have attempted to commit suicide (or maybe an accident) but opted to blame it on hoodlums in the railways.
According to this report:
Medical and legal experts who have examined Arunima’s injuries claim her injuries and the position she was found lying in don’t match up with her description of the incident. However, their claims aren’t backed by official documentation, so they will have to get a formal examination done before their suspicions can be considered fact.
In normal circumstances, if she had been pushed from the train, her head would have faced the adjacent tracks instead of her legs. Additionally, the SAI (Sports Authority of India) had a team of people look into whether or not she actually represented her state and her nation, but her past teachers confirmed that she only played in an inter-college level volleyball camp.
Finally, her reports of her location the day before the incident don’t match up with the claims of others who saw her that day.
If these claims are indeed true against Sinh’s testimony, then girlfriend what were you thinking?!!!???!!!
They are still investigating the “crime” and we can’t wait to find out what the truth really is.
She already lost a leg and her story has made headlines so we hope that she’s telling the truth because it’d be such a shame if she’s just lying.
