This is great news to all Krisitn Richards fans out there!
The ever smiling outside hitter will play in Italy for the very first time this coming season for Spes Conegliano. The Stanford graduate and one time NCAA champion has played in Russia and Azerbaijan since she turned pro.
In case you didn’t know, Kristin’s parents also played volleyball back in the days and her sister, Lauren, coaches volleyball too at an American University. Volleyball runs in her blood indeed.
K-Rich last played with the US team at the 2011 Montreux Volleymasters tournaments where team USA finished 4th. She’s also on the 20 player roster for the upcoming 2011 Grand Prix.

By the way, Cynthia Barbosa, Alix Klineman and Carli Lloyd will also play in the Italian League this coming season.
