German club team, VfB Friedrichshafen, has posted this on their Facebook Page and it touched our hearts so we want to share it even more to the rest of the world.
We want to give endless hugs to LUCAS, a very brave and very strong 2 yr old boy from Germany, who is fighting leukemia (blood cancer).
This is his story…
It all started with a flu last March 2010. His parents took him to the doctor and received a devastating news when Lucas’ diagnosis showed that he has leukemia. At such a very young age, the brave Lucas started his fight against acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL short) and going through a series of chemotherapy sessions.
The cancer slowed down but another setback occurred when Lucas’ cancer return – even stronger – last month. Doctors have decided that it’s about time to reach out to the public and welcome those who are willing to go through “stem cell donation”.
About 14 million people have attempted to donate but the project has been unsuccessful since Lucas’ tissue characteristics are so rare ( 1: 20,000).
But we’re not losing hope and so…
HERE’s HOW WE CAN HELP!
You can check out Lucas’ site by clicking THIS (English) or THIS (German) to KNOW MORE about his FIGHT.
If you plan on DONATING, see info below:
If you’re in GERMANY and plan on ATTENDING the Donation Drive for Lucas, see info below:
Spreading the word and sharing this link are great and effective ways to HELP Lucas and raise awareness.
We invite everyone to please take time to share LUCAS’ FIGHT to your network.
Thank you.
