Christian Louboutin To Dress Cuban Olympians

The Olympics will showcase designs by the following global and famous brands:

Ralph Lauren and Nike = USA
DSquared2 = Canada.
Lacoste = France
Stella McCartney = Great Britain
H&M = Sweden

But we are very excited to share the news that luxury brand Christian Louboutin will dress up the Cubans.

“The Cuban team will wear formalwear designed by Louboutin and Henry Tai, a French former professional handball player who founded the online retailer SportHenri.com. The collection — tailored Guayabera-inspired jackets with flag patches; calf-leather kitten-heel sandals, high-tops, and loafers bearing a five-pointed star — were created in a series of custom fittings with current and former Cuban Olympic athletes in a Paris atelier.”

For the Cuban team's bespoke Celebratory Outfits, Henri Tai, former professional athlete and founder of @sportyhenri, took inspiration from Cuban style of the 1950's including Guayabera patch pockets and sharply tailored jackets. Red jackets for men and beige for women proudly carry the nation’s flag and are paired with contrasting interchangeable trousers, shorts or skirts that infuse Cuban elegance without compromising comfort and fit. #CLxSportyHenri

To complete the athletes’ tailor-made ensembles, Christian Louboutin high-top trainer and loafer style Naza Star for men were exclusively fabricated for the athletes in calf leather on slim fitting silhouettes, enabling a light tread for gymnast Manrique Larduet Bicet and adding elegance to the remarkable size 51.5 foot of wrestler Mijaín López Núñez! Henri Tai, founder of @sportyhenri, dreamed head-to-toe looks for the Cuban Olympic team that came to life in a private Paris atelier. “The clothes need to fit spectacular athlete bodies – they are definitely not sample size or average, neither in length of limbs, nor in proportions. It was our mission to make them look tailor-fitted and great.” #CLxSportyHenri
