Dresdner's volleyballers become ballerinas for their 2014 calendar and they look FIERCE!
Volleyball Meets Ballet
DRESDNER SC and famous ballet dancer of Semper Opera Dresden are in the spotlight of the new calendar 2014.
The volleyball players of team DRESDNER SC are not to be keen on experiments on the field. But when the traditional calendar is at stake, the team of coach Alexander Waibl ventures unknown stages.
“Experiment of Energy” is the claim of the new artwork. The players of the runner-up posed between opulent chandeliers in the venue hall of the former restaurant “Grüner Baum” on two days in the late summer. The players were supported by seven ballet dancers of the Semper Opera Ballet.
Photographer Lars Neumann, who is planning and photographing the calendar for ten years now together with the former German national player Beatrice Dömeland, took photos of captain Stefanie Karg & Co. after a choreography of Raphaël Coumes-Marquet.
The new calendar is full of young women in athletic posing and sporty outfits. “The Sporthaus Haubold supported us together with our equipment supplier Hummel and SportScheck Dresden with different outfits. For this reason we were allowed to focus on the sporting part and integrate a lot of elements of the Forsythe-dance”, said Dömeland, who can count on the engagement of the hairdresser’s Holger Knievel and Ronald Brendler Cosmetics like in the years before.
The result of the shooting was presented within the bounds of an autograph signing session. The calendar 2014, as an ideal present for Christmas, is available in the online shop.
