We’re so proud of her!
Turkey’s Neslihan Darnel made the Volleyball World so proud for being the only female indoor volleyball player to become the “flag bearer” at the 2012 London Olympics.
This pic has already made history.
Despite failing to advance to the Quarterfinal Round, Darnel together with Naz, Eda, Neriman, Esra and the rest of their teammates are already in their country’s history books as the first volleyball team to have ever played in the Olympics.
Coach Motta played a major role of course to make this happen!
Anyways, we found these fierce pics of the lefty opposite hitter taken after the Olympics:
Neslihan will resume training pretty soon with her Turkish club team, Eczacıbaşı VitrA Volleyball.
Before we forget, the other volleyball athletes who were also flag bearers at in London are beach volleyballers Natacha Rigobert from Mauritius and Martins Plavins (bronze medalist) from Latvia.
