SEYED MOUSAVI (IRAN)

For the second consecutive year, an Iranian player has now won the male VOLLEYWOOD IDOL crown. Seyed succeeds his teammate and one of the world’s best setters, Saeid Marouf.

Seyed was awarded as the Best Middle Blocker at the 2015 FIVB World Cup. Before the 2015 international season started, his Iranian club team, Paykan, won the domestic league.

In case you didn’t know and as far as we know, Seyed is the 2nd most followed volleyball player on Instagram. He has 718,000+ followers. 2014 Volleywood Idol Marouf is on top of the list with more than 788,000 followers.

As of press time, Seyed reportedly suffered a knee injury a few days ago as the team prepares for the upcoming Olympic Qualification Tourney in Japan next month.

Seyed and Iran are on track to compete in the Olympics for the very first time.
