The new year just started BUT it’s never too late to do these volleyball related changes you can start embracing this year TO BECOME A BETTER player.
Try A Healthy Or Healthier Diet
Professional athletes follow a very strict diet to stay in shape throughout the year so you should try it too. Click and read this article about Volleyball Nutrition.
Eat Healthy. Stay Fit.
Set Goals
It never hurts to set goals like when the volleyball season is about to start. Focus on small things first and try to achieve them one at a time. Once you achieve all of them, then focus on making big and eventually bigger steps. Click and read this article about “TEAM GOALS” which may help you and your team.
Each goal you achieve will make you a BETTER person.
Give Up Excuses
If you really want to improve your volleyball skills, then making excuses each time you feel lazy or you simply just don’t want to do it anymore. Always have that determination in you to stop making lame excuses.
Spike those excuses away!
Excuses never help in developing a BETTER and STRONGER version of you on and off the court.
Time Management
It may seem very easy to do BUT for the most part we end up not doing things because we just don’t have the time anymore. A planner or a calendar would help you manage your volleyball life (matches and practices) and your personal life. If you feel lazy getting a calendar, use the calendar on your phone and don’t forget to set an “alert” so you won’t forget!
Knowing how to manage your time and finding balance in all the things you do will give you a BETTER and MORE ORGANIZED life.
Be Patient
Remember the words of John Heywood that “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
It may time to see progress but as long as you stay on track then expect positive results. The more patient you are, the more you appreciate the rewards waiting for you at the finish line. Once you finish the race to become BETTER, you’d be over the moon and experience this very beautiful feeling of being successful.
Stay Away From Negative People
If they really want to see you achieve your goals on and off the court, then they’d support you ever step of the way. If you surround yourself with people who always tell you that “you suck” or “you’ll never get better so do something else” or “you’re too short to play volleyball”, then it’s about time to cut these folks out of your life. Don’t let TOXIC people stop you from becoming BETTER.
We only need people who support and believe in us.
Ask For Feedback
It never hurts to ask your teammates on skills you need to improve or to help you monitor your progress. Be always prepared to hear criticisms. Don’t take them seriously and personally. Use them to fuel your passion and determination to become BETTER.
We hope these tips help.
Why wait for tomorrow if you can start today?
