Last January 14th, 2013, the 2011 European Champion gave birth to a healthy 4 kilogram baby boy and named him Aleksa.

In case you didn’t know, Jelena did not play at the 2012 Olympics and left her Turkish club team, Vakifbank, due to her pregnancy. She intends to return to volleyball soon but plans on investing her time for now taking care of her son.

She is married to Serbian handball player Petar Nenadic.

She looks more beautiful than ever before!

Serbian outside hitter and 2010 European Champion, Jelena Nikolic, might have missed the 2012 London Olympics but she has every reason to be happy and celebrate because she’s going to be a MOMMY for the very first time.

No wonder the 30 year old is taking the season off with her Turkish club team Vakifbank.

Take note, we had no idea that Jelena was pregnant until her club coach Giovanni Guidetti happily revealed it.

The baby is due in January 2013.

Regardless if it’s a boy or a girl, no doubt Jelena’s child will become a volleyball player or an outstanding athlete!
