We are not kidding!
Earlier today in Rome where the 2011 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships (men and women) are taking place, the FIVB unveiled the statues of 2 of the world’s best players: American Kerri Walsh and Emanuel Rego from Brazil.
The event coincides with the launching of FIVB’s Heroes.
This is a great honor for both players. They truly deserve these effigies knowing that they are not just 2 of the world’s best beach volleyballers but they have also set themselves as great role models to the fans from all over the world.
On the other hand, we wonder if these statues will remain in Rome and hangout with the other figures around them or will be transferred to another place where there’s a major major FIVB event. The other status around need might start asking how Kerri’s secret for her abs.
LOL!
On a serious note, it would’ve been great to see a statue of Misty May beside Kerri’s because in our opinion Kerri won’t be Kerri without Misty and vice versa.
Agree?
We just have to wait and see for now.
Congratulations to Kerri and Emanuel for the honors!
Thoughts?
