Radostin Stoichev has been selected as the new coach of Bulgaria’s men’s national team! Congratulations! We bet Matey and Team are very excited to have a new coach who plans on winning the Olympic GOLD in 2012. It’s not an easy goal to achieve but the important thing is he’s determined to take Bulgaria to the Olympic podium in 2 years. Radostin is IN and Silvano Prandi is OUT!

- Born on September 25, 1969 in Sofia.
- Clubs as a PLAYER: KA Miner (Buhovo) Slavia Neftochimic (Bourgas). France, Spain, Portugal, Austria & Serbia (He’s been around Europe)
- Clubs as a COACH: 2003-2005 : coach of Slavia/ 2005-2007: Assistant coach of Dynamo Moscow (Rus)/ From 2007 to present: coach of Diatek Itas Trento (Ita)
- Achievements as a COACH: 2005 Cup of Bulgaria with Slavia/2006 Title of Russia Dynamo Moscow/2007 Cup of Russia with Dynamo Moscow/ 2008 Title of Italy Itas Trento Diate/2009 Title in the Champions League and World Club title with Diatek Itas Trent/2010 Cup of Italy Itas Trento Diatek/2010 Champions League title with Diatek Itas Trento.
Side Dish: Rado has expressed to NATURALIZE former Brazilian Setter, RICARDO GARCIA, and Cuban-now Italian, OSMANY JUANTORENA (see pic below), to join the Bulgarian Natioanl Team but the Bulgarian Federation has already dismissed this plan since it’s quite impossible and might take a while. Well the FIVB has very strict rules on allowing naturalized players to play for another team. Sorry Rado…you might have to start training the current talented Bulgarian players and also start scouting for young players. For sure Bulgaria has a lot to offer. No need to look for foreign players.
