We knew they’d win it!
Ekaterina Gamova, Kosheleva, Jordan Larson and Team Dinamo Kazan defeated Carolina Costagrande and Team Dinamo Moscow in the 3rd match of the Best of 5 Final Round to win the 2010/2011 edition of the Russian League.
Kazan demolished Moscow by winning 3 consecutive matches. (3-2, 3-1 & 3-0).
Before the match started, Gamova received the Best Player of the League which she’ll be adding to the several awards she has won since winning the MVP and the Gold medal at the 2010 World Championship.
According to a source, Jordan Larson could not contain her excitement and got emotional after the victory. We would be too! Unlike Logan Tom who hasn’t made up her mind where to play next season, Jordan aka J-LA has confirmed that she’d return to Kazan to defend their crown.
Eversince we started covering the Russian Super League, we constantly read great stuff about Jordan. She played impressive throughout the season. Even if she would get 6, 7 or more sets in a row (see video below), J-LA would never give up.
We love J-LA! She’s a great all around player and this victory will for sure boost her confidence when she rejoins Team USA later this month.
Keep it up Jordan!
Tatiana Kosheleva had a minor surgery earlier in the season but there’s no stopping her!
The Best Spiker & Gold medalist at the 2010 World Championship has another title to add to her resume.
She’s only 22 turning 23 and Koshe is already having the best season of her career! There’s more to come for sure.
Since she’s the world’s best player, we felt obliged to write something about her. We kid! We kid!
Ekaterina Gamova you’re the best!
Katya has also confirmed that she’d return to Kazan next season, ie 2 more seasons.
Side Dish: Dinamo Krasnodar won the bronze medal againsrt Uralochka. We hope Krasnodar will mail a bronze medal to their former player, Cynthia Barboza, who returned to the US a few months ago after she got injured.
Congratulations to all the winners and to all the teams who competed this season!
