In case you didn’t know, the American heartthrob spent a long and successful season in Korea playing for Korean Air Jumbos. Evan and his team concluded the regular season by finishing FIRST. Despite losing the Final Round to Samsung BlueFangs, Evan and his energetic team deserve to be recognized for playing and fighting hard.
It was Evan’s first time in Korea and for sure it will forever remain as a memorable experience!
At the moment, Evan has returned to the USA and has rejoined Coach Knipe’s squad to train and compete in the upcoming 2011 World League. We really hope to see Evan in the starting line up this time and show to the rest of the world what he can do. It’s about time he shines and give Stanley the chance to rest. USA needs another strong opposite hitter and we believe Evan aka The Korean Heartthrob has what it takes to fill in for Clay.
We saw a few matches of Evan while in Korea and as expected female fans were screaming on top of their lungs when Evan scored a point or when he was about to serve. The fans used all their strength to make the loudest noise from their thunder sticks. The “Evan Chants” were even louder when he’d score an ACE. It looked like Justin Bieber was in the gym. Kidding!
We don’t understand any words from this picture below. But we have a feeling all one of them says “Evan Marry Me!” or “Don’t Leave Korea!” or “We Love You Evan!”.
No doubt the Korean Fans loved and love him. He’s got the skills & the personality to captivate us.
