Our amazing Russian friend who is also a blogger, Sergey, had the chance to interview American outside hitter, Cynthia Barboza.
In this “Audio Interview”, C-Barb shares her life in the beautiful Russian city of Krasnodar and briefly explains on how she injured herself about 2 weeks ago while in Switzerland for the Challenge Cup.

There’s no official word yet on how severe her injury is but C-Barb mentions that “it could’ve been worse but she’s very lucky”.
“Barbie” is in great spirit & optimistic despite her injury. Girlfriend is just super adorable!
We’re shocked and sad that she’s injured again (she previously injured her knee in college but bounced back the following season). Cynthia has been in great form since the Russian League started and she’s one of her team’s primary players.
Her club team, Krasnodar, won the SILVER medal in the recently concluded Russian Cup which was won by Gamova’s team. As of press time, her team is currently ranked 3rd in the league.
We are optimistic she’ll bounce back from this injury and rejoin her club team and then the USA team in the summer.
