We love the attitude Kindra!
The 23 year old former star player from the University of Washington was cut off from the training block last month but Kindra is still optimistic for her chances in the next Olympic cycle & represent Team USA.
Currently, the USA women’s national team has a lot of talented outside/opposite hitters led by Logan Tom, Jordan Larson, Megan Hodge and Kim Glass just to name a few. Being one of the less experienced athletes, Kindra knew from the start the odds she had to face.
“Fresh out of college, it’s not like there wasn’t a chance, but chances are very slim. It definitely made me grow, because it showed me that there is still more room for improvement. Just when you think you’re good, you can always be better.” according to K-Carlson.
Currently, she is in Phoenix, Arizona coaching club volleyball and will be in Washington later this summer to join her coaches at volleyball camps.
This coming September, Carlson plans to tryout at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for the Pan American Games to be hosted by Mexico in October. She will also make her professional debut in France later this year.
Again, we love and admire Kindra’s strong and determined attitude for her future in volleyball. You go girl!
We wish you the best.
