Meet The Fighting Parents

We understand players argue sometimes when they play but when their parents fight while at a match then we find it very silly and very unnecessary. For sure you agree with us.

Parents, what the h*ll?

Meet William “Todd” Cowan & Dean R. Allen, both from Indiana, who got into a physical confrontation at a high school girls volleyball match: Daleville versus Blue River Valley Junior-Senior High School.

Testimony says that Todd shoved Dean during the intermission. “Everyone’s behavior was atrocious.” according to the judge.

The Judge found Cowan, 45, guilty of battery (Class B misdemeanor carrying a standard 180-day jail term) and (luckily) was not sentenced to go to jail. Judge Mawhoor asked the guilty to pay a $15 fine.

$15? That’s it? LOL! What a waste of time!

You think the case is over well there’s MORE!

According to this article, Allen filed a Delaware Circuit Court 2 lawsuit against Cowan and another Blue River parent,  Lee Walker, in the gym that day. Allen has claimed that injuries from the shoving have significantly impaired his ability to earn income.

At last week’s trial, Allen  labeled Walker a pervert and a weird person after the accused sat “uncomfortably close” to Allen and his wife at the gym. Walker defended himself  saying that Allen was making rude and unflattering comments to their player. “At Blue River, we look out for each other’s kids.” Walker told the judge.

From that moment on, the situation was getting more intense. They started yelling at each other and even wanted to take it outside. Allen was thrown against the wall by Cowan aka the guilty. “He got close enough that I felt threatened. I just shoved him to get him out of my face.” Cowan said (pic below).

Fast forward…

Allen said he suffered whiplash, a ruptured disc and other injuries. He also added the resulting disability caused his yearly income to drop from $50,00 to less than $12,000.

That’s a huge drop!
