Let’s bow down our heads and welcome his majesty!
Gophers Behold!
Hugh McCutcheon has taken another coaching position aside from coaching USA’s women’s national team. He is now the new coach of University of Minnesota and Coach Hugh seems to be very excited about his second coaching position.
He has released this statement via the USA Volleyball site:
“I am honored and excited to coach the women’s volleyball program at the University of Minnesota. This is a wonderful opportunity, both personally and professionally, and I hope we can continue the (Minnesota) team’s strong history of success. It is and continues to be an honor and privilege to coach the U.S. Women’s National Team.”
We bet the girls on the team are very excited! Coach Hugh is one of the most successful coaches in this new decade. He led the USA Men’s Team to a very successful 2008 season when they won the 2008 World League and of course the Olympic Gold. He took over the women’s team in 2009 and won the 2010 Grand Prix title against Brazil.
