Daddy LLOY BALL might have retired from the international scene but the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in Beijing is still playing very competitive volleyball in the Russian League for Zenit Kazan. They won the title last year and he’s looking to do it again this year together with the other hot daddy former USA teammate REID PRIDDY. Ball and Reid + Russia’s Mikhaylov and Tetyukin? VICTORY is EXPECTED!
Anyways, Lloy is rumored to be one of the highest paid volleyball players in the world. The other players on the list are Brazil’s Giba, Ivan Miljkovic of Serbia and 2008 Beijing Olympics MVP Clay Stanley.
Lloy is living like a king in Russia from what we read on Volleycountry. His reported $1 MILLION contract for 1 season includes the following amenities/demands features:
- $40,000 stipend for an American teacher to accompany his family to Russia and provide schooling for 8-year-old Dyer Ball.
- The teacher also received an apartment, car, and airfare to and from the U.S.
No wonder he said this:
“It’s just been an awesome volleyball experience. Obviously, living in Italy and Greece is easier than living in Russia – I’m not going to lie and say it’s not. But, financially and being on probably the best club team I’ve ever been on makes volleyball at my age still real fun to play.”
Dang Daddy! We completely understand now why you are not planning on returning to the National Team if you already have a life like this in Russia. We still miss you though.
