Remember when the Chinese Federation fired that womne’s coach named Quan? Well well well we have an exclusive copy of his resignation letter. China has a new coach now so we’ll see how China does in the World Champs.
Letter Translation: (Thank You to J-HU for the translation)
“I took over the head coach post in March this year, hoping to contribute to the development of the (National) Women’s Volleyball Team. I was full of passion and determination. During this past half year, however, long hours of hard work, enormous pressure, together with the old infected area from tubercular meningitis (I had before), made me sleepless and destroyed my appetite. I felt spiritless, fatigued, and difficult to concentrate. Even though I wanted to coach the team (to success), my health condition doesn’t allow me to work hard. According to my doctor, too much psychological and physical load would cause the relapse of tubercular meningitis. Recently I already felt dizzy and nauseous. Given my health condition, I don’t think I can fulfill the requirements of this job—head coach of the Chinese Women’s National Volleyball Team. With the future of Chinese women’s volleyball, I am here resigning from this post. I’ll return to Tianjin for treatment as soon as possible. My apologies for the trouble caused to the management team by my health problem (affecting work related to Chinese women’s volleyball). Thank you for your consideration and understanding.”
