She is only 17, she is left handed spiker BUT this young player can already do it all!
Tianjin’s Li Ying Ying is NOW the record holder in the Chinese Women’s Volleyball League with most number of points scored in one match. Li scored 45 POINTS from 41 spikes out of 79 attempts, 2 blocks and 2 aces. Her record breaking performance also includes 13 digs.
Take note, she is non-receiving outside hitter for her club team.
This amazing performance took place a few days when Li and Team Tianjin beat Kim Yeon Koung and Shanghai in 5 epic sets.
In case you’re wondering, she stands 1.92m or 6 ft and 3 inches. Her FIVB profile states she has a spike reach of 3.02m and her block reach is 2.94m. She was on the Chinese roster which competed in the 2017 FIVB Grand Prix but did not see any action on the court.
With her amazing performance so far this season in the Chinese League, no doubt she is one of the stars to watch out for from here on now until the 2020 Olympics. Imagine if Coach Lang Ping put her and Zhu Ting together on the court? Watch out world! China has another young star to follow Zhu’s footsteps.
Keep up the great work Li!
