Former Player Shines In Rugby

It’s great to see him succeed in volleyball rugby!

Pama Fou, a New Zealand-raised Aussie, quit volleyball 2 years ago due to shoulder problems and ended his dream of playing for Australia’s national team. He then started embracing a new sport  called RUGBY. We’re not familiar with ruby. The only time we saw some rugby matches was when we were in Australia a couple of years ago. It appears to be a very physical sport.

According to this report, the 21 year old led Australia to defeat Japan (33-0) at the Gold Coast Sevens hosted by Gold Coast – a beautiful Australian city – last Friday for a sure trip to the Quarterfinal round. The inaugural tournament was won by Fiji last Saturday while Pama’s team finished 4th after losing to South Africa.

Anyways, we’re so happy for Pama’s success and we hope to see and read more about him as he continues to explore rugby. When he becomes a bigger rugby star, we hope he can still promote volleyball in the Australian media.
