Sadly, this is just a RUMOR.
A rumor we hope will come true.
Rumor has it Camillo Placi, the head coach of Bulgaria’s men’s team, is planning on going to Turkey to attend the CEV Champions League Final Four this coming weekend. He will make use of the trip by seeing longtime friend Matey Kaziyski who is competing in the aforementioned club tournament with host Halkbank Ankara.
“There’s really no truth in this. They might see each other BUT I don’t think Placi can convince Matey to rejoin the team. First of all, the Bulgarian Federation has not changed its way. Matey has said it very clearly in the past that he will only come back if corruption and those people working for the Federation will step down. Sadly, this is not going to happen anytime soon.” says our source.
To be honest, lots of rumors have circulated about Matey’s come back since he left the team in 2012 just before the Olympics. Unfortunately, each rumor always remains as a rumor.
We’re still hoping Matey will represent Bulgaria in the near future.
