We think he’s done wonders for Team Finland.
After 2 years coaching the Finnish National Team, Coach Castellani has resigned.
His official press release”
“I had a lot of time to think about the situation. The last two years were very hard for me, and I need to get now more time for my family. I don’t want to work all year round. It was an honor for me to work with the players included in Finland’s national team. I think we made a great job together to develop the skills of the players as well as the team work. This group has a good future and I wish them all the best”.
After Castellani’s resignation, the Finnish Volleyball Association has set a very ambitious goal which is to possibly qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
“To achieve this goal we need an ambitious and fully committed head coach who is ready to work for four years to develop our national team and Finnish Volleyball. We start now immediately the work to find alternatives for the position and we hope that we can finalize the decision and appoint the next mentor of our national team before Christmas”. -Hanna Iiskola-Kesonen, the General Secretary of the Finnish Volleyball Association.
Daniel Castellani is not jobless at all. He is the current coach of Polish club team Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE.
