Stefan who died of heart problems was buried in Perugia last Oct. 22nd.

To honor and remember the 5 yr old son of Goran Vujevic, a moment of silence was observed last Saturday before the Perugia vs Modena match. Goran was joined by his wife and 2 other children.

After the match, Goran told the media that he opted to play rather than grieve in silence because his son would love to have him play and always enjoy watching his matches in the arena.

This part makes us cry….

No parent should have to bury their child…

We have been informed that 2000 Olympic gold medalist from Serbia, Goran Vujevic, has lost his 5 year old son, Stefan.

The cause of death has not been released.

From what we’ve been told, Goran received the tragic news after winning his league match last night versus Cuneo with his Italian club team Perugia. The funeral will take place tomorrow in Bettona, Perugia.

On behalf of volleyball fans from around the world, condolence to Goran and his loved ones. They remain in our thoughts and prayers in this very difficult time.
