No place like home indeed for 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Dragan Travica.
After playing abroad for 3 years, Dragan has signed on to play for the struggling Earvin Ngapeth, Max Holt and Team Modena – currently ranked 4th heading into the Playoffs.
The 30 year old setter last played for Italy at the 2015 FIVB World League. He and Berruto, head coach at that time, dealt with internal conflict which ended up Travica getting removed from the squad.
With Dragan’s arrival, the young setter Nicola Salsi has resigned from Modena and currently looking for new opportunities. Travica will be the back-up setter of Argentinian turned Italian Santi Orduna.
Let’s see what Dragan and Modena can achieve in the Italian League Playoffs.
