This time it isn’t just a rumor, it’s for real!
We’ve learned from a very reliable source that one of the world’s best players, Ivan Miljkovic, has been asked by Serbia’s coach to rejoin the team for a exhibition tournament next week in London.
We’re guessing Ivan has accepted the invitation because he is on the 16-player roster which includes all the players who competed at the 2011 World League. In case you didn’t know, Serbia missed the Final Round for the first time in many years and finished a disappointing 9th.
Aside from Serbia, Volleyball fans in London will get to see teams from Great Britain, Brazil, United States, Egypt and Mexico. The tournament is from July 20th – 24th at the Erls Kort Hall – the future site of the 2012 Olympic Games.
So Ivan is on the roster, the question is – Will he play?
He skipped the World League so he better show up this time around.
Serbia needs him!
