Her decision is completely understandable.
After the heartbreaking loss versus Belgium yesterday which cost Poland the ticket to compete at the 2014 World Championship, Kasia has decided to take a break. To be exact, she plans on leaving the team indefinitely.
“Now I need to think about everything, if i want to take a rest from the national team, because I’m tired.
I need a look from a distance on all of it. I really have to think. I feel tired and exhausted, i need a break after all of this what happened in the national team. I’m not saying about this tournament, but i speak in general. I’ve always been and always gave my heart for the national team, but the break is necessary for me.
I’ll have to think about this very seriously.”
She should take a break and allow a young group of players represent Poland as we move forward. Later on if she wants to come back, then she can guide the team with her experience and leadership.
It’s heartbreaking Poland failed to qualify for World Champs but all we can do is remain optimistic as the team starts the rebuilding process.
