According to legavolley.it, the Italian city of Latina has chosen National Team Libero Salvatore Rossini as their “Athlete Of The Year”.
The 27 year old competed against other Italian athletes from various sports namely Andrade Siquera (football), Matteo Ciampi (swimming), Daniele Santini (Kayak) and Paolo Girolamio (canoeing boating). The 11th edition of the annual ceremony took place at the Teatro Cafaro.
The 27 year old played and competed a successful 2013 season with the Italian Team. He won a bronze medal at the 2013 World League, 2013 Grand Champions Cup and a silver medal at the 2013 European Championship.
