After months of searching for Mr. RIGHT, Poland finally found him.
Former coach of Germany and Belgium, Vital Heynen, has been chosen as the new head coach of Poland. The 48 year old has 2 major tournaments this year: The Volleyball Nations League and the FIVB World Championship with Poland as the reigning champions.
As for his goals this season, he aims for Poland to finish in the Top 6 at the World Champions.
“Our goal is to take a place in the top six,” he said. It would be a good result. However, once we start a match, we will want to win every one of them. But when you put tasks, you have to be realistic.”
President of the Polish Volleyball Federation, Jacek Kasprzyk, said that they “wanted to diagnose the results of the world championships in 2014 and give a new quality to Polish volleyball”.
Congrats Coach and good luck Polska!
