This is NOT good.
After losing their playoff match against Slovenia in front of their home fans, Michal Kubiak reportedly threw a tantrum in the locker room.
“He was really mad at everyone. He was yelling and it took a while for him to calm down.” according to a source.
Rumor has it Kubiak is not happy with the new coach and the team culture.
“Since Wlazly and Winiarski left the team in 2014, Michal has always felt the pressure to lead Poland to victories. He also doesn’t like the current team culture. Michal feels like the dedication is not there from some players and the current skill level is not what he thinks Poland needs. There’s a video of him last June getting mad at a media person. That was a major sign that something was and is already wrong within the team since Coach Di Giorgi took over.” adds the source.
THE VIDEO: This video became a trending topic among Polish fans when it came out.
“Don’t record this! Shut it down! You won’t be telling me if I give you and interview, I don’t care if it’s your job!”
The source also mentioned that Michal has this goal of proving to doubters that Poland CAN win without the help of Wilfredo Leon – who is expected to join the team in 2019.
“Michal is not a big fan of having a non-Polish player on the team.” ends the source.
Michal is reportedly planning to take a break from the national anthem and his return for the 2018 World Championship is up in the air. Longtime teammate, Bartosz Kurek, may also take the same route.
