WE ARE NOT SURPRISED!
Knowing that Russia has lost 10 consecutive matches in a row in the ongoing FIVB World League (which is Russia’s worst performance ever!), head coach Andrey Voronkov has resigned from his position.
According to volleyballnews.ru, the Russian Volleyball Federation will have a meeting on July 17th and will then announce the new coach.
Coach Voronkov led Russia to win the 2013 European Champions and 2013 FIVB World League BUT did not win any medal during the 2014 season.
We have a feeling former coach Alekno is among the top candidates to take the job.
