The 2 time World Champion can’t hold back those tears as she says goodbye to volleyball and focus on her personal and family life.
Last Saturday, Gamova’s club team for 6 consecutive seasons, Dinamo Kazan, organized her retirement party and hosted her farewell match with Dinamo Moscow as the guest team. Gamova played for a few points and returned to the court to say her “farewell speech”.

Larson’s Message
2016 Olympic bronze medalist Jordan Larson posted a very sweet message for Katya. Larson played for Kazan from 2009 and 2014. She and Gamova led the team to win the prestigious Champions League during the 2013-2014 season and the 2014 FIVB Club World Champs.
Thank You Katya!
Thank you so much for all the volleyball memories you shared to us and with us. We will always remember your greatness. You were such an amazing and phenomenal player to watch. Volleyball will never be the same without you. We wish you the best as you begin a new chapter. Hope to see little Gamovas in the future. We love you!
