Sadly, Kosheleva will NOT be at the upcoming World Championship this October in Japan.
According to this article, the 2010 World Champion has NOT fully recovered from her ACL injury last March and will be skipping the most important women’s tourney of 2018.
Although she has made progress in recent months, her knee is still not in great shape to compete against the world’s best teams. Koshe has also talked to the head coach of the national team and they both agreed that it’s best to skip the quadrennial event to focus on her recovery.
#TatianaKosheleva from @GSVoleybol1905 got injured, but for sure she will keep on supporting her teammates in this #playoff6 match vs. @igor_volley

With no Kosheleva on the team, Russia’s chances of making it to the Final Round is NOT looking good. Goncharova is not enough for Russia to win against some of the highly favored teams likes USA, Brazil, Serbia and China.
In case you didn’t know, the two time Olympian will play in the Brazilian Superliga this coming season with Sesc.
